Wow! I cannot believe we are already into October. Our first month together has truly flown by. I attribute this largely to how determined this class is to achieve excellence in both academics and classroom etiquette. Your children have been a joy to teach thus far, and I look forward to seeing how much we can accomplish in October. Take note below of important information regarding our grade two class.
This Week in Grade Two
Language – We will review our 4 sentence types and which end-marks to use with each.
Math – We will learn about 3D shapes and using greater than and less than symbols.
Social Studies – We will begin learning about the interior plains physical region of Canada.
Markers
Throughout the year we will be using markers to brainstorm different language concepts. Students will also get the chance to use them in art class. Your child may choose to bring in markers to use during these class activities. If not, they will be able to use their crayons that have supplied.
Test Folders
Student’s will receive their test folders on Monday. Please review each assessment with your child, sign, and send it back to school Tuesday.
