Dear Parents,
Island Hill Farm Field Trip
We are extremely excited for our class trip to Island Hill Farm on Thursday, June 3. If you haven’t already, please check your child’s back and forth folder for the permission form and make sure you return it and send an e-transfer to the office for the admission amount. The cost per student is $14.00 and the preferable method of payment is through etransfer by Wednesday, June 2nd. You may send an etransfer to office@gcspei.ca and use the password islandhill. Please also indicate your child’s name in the memo section.
We will be traveling by bus to the farm, leaving the school at 9:00 am and will return to the school for 12:30. Students should bring a snack and water bottle. We will eat lunch once we return to school. Please ensure that your child has proper footwear for the farm.
Homework: This week students will have one sight words page and will be preparing for their spelling test.
Tests: Students will have a phonics test on Wednesday, a math test on Thursday, and a spelling test on Friday.
Humane Society Donations: Grade 5 students, Jack and Penny, have organized a donation drive for the PEI Humane Society for their Genius Hour project. They have been collecting donations of cat supplies, food, and toys. The last day to bring in donations will be this Monday, May 31st. If you would like to support their Genius Hour project and the Humane Society, please bring in donations Monday morning.
