Good evening,
I hope that you have enjoyed your long weekend and the beautiful weather that accompanied it. It seems very hard to believe that this is the last full week of February, and we will be welcoming March next Tuesday! How the time has flown by! As we look forward to another school week, please take note of the following announcements.
COVID Rapid Tests
As per Mrs. MacNeill’s email on Sunday, ALL Grade 3 students must perform the rapid test every day for 5 days. Having a negative test result means being able to attend school. I thank you for your cooperation!
Operation Pollination
As mentioned in last week’s blog post, our class is working on a project to help our friendly neighbourhood pollinators. Due to our Winter Olympics afternoon of outdoor activities last Wednesday, we had to postpone our work. Information on this project will eventually become public, so please stay tuned!!
What’s Going on This Week?
In Math this week, we will continue to learn about fractions (equivalent fractions) and how to solve a measurement equation involving conversion of measures. In Language Arts, students will be working on finishing up writing assignments as well as beginning our next unit, Using Commas. This week’s Spelling is List 18, which was introduced on Friday and has hopefully been studied a bit over the weekend.
This Week’s Assessments
Wednesday: Math Quiz 8
Friday: Spelling Quiz 18
Important Dates to Remember
Friday, March 4th: PD Day (NO SCHOOL)
Tuesday, March 8th: Spring Picture Day
March 14th-18th: March Break (NO SCHOOL)
Have a great week, everyone!
