It has been another busy and wonderful week. This week there are a lot of fun theme days and activities going on as we celebrate Christmas. Students are encouraged to participate in the theme for that day:
Monday: Festive Colours Day (red and green, white silver gold etc)
Tuesday: Christmas Hat Day (DIY’s welcome)
Wednesday: Christmas Sweater Day
Thursday: Christmas PJ Day
Friday: Class Party (students are welcome to bring in snacks to share), please note that this is a half day of school and children are to be picked up at Noon before lunch.
This past week grade two was learning about acrostic poems. After having read some acrostic poems, as a class, the students wrote one with the word “Manger”. I was proud the poem that the students wrote together and would like to share this grade two original with you.

The students have also been working on their own poem with word “Christmas” and will be sent home with your child at the end of the week.
This week grade two will not be doing a spelling list. We will start with list # 13 after Christmas.
