I’m not sure about you, but as I typed Week 5 of Online Learning, I can hardly believe that we have adjusted into this new way of learning for that long. God is good and continues to protect our province and watch over each one of us. I am grateful in this time to have a God who sees the bigger picture.
Just a few reminders for this week. As we continue in this new format, it is important that priority is given to Math and Language tasks. A variety is given, not for students to pick and choose, but to continue the development of the skills we would be addressing in the classroom. Please have students take time to complete each task.

Monday:

Reading – Oral reading of Read and Think 14; Answer questions
Writing – Writing a prediction (See Activities)
Spelling – Definition Fill-in-the-Bank (See Activities)
French: Introduction to “ER” verbs. Watch my video explaining how to create regular “ER” verbs. Make a video of you reading page 44. Complete page 45 and post.
Science: This week I am challenging all elementary students to collect items from around your home to create your very own “chain reaction machines” or “marble runs”. Do you have a sibling in another class? Why not make one project together! Check out Seesaw for more information.
Tuesday:
Math – p. 201-202 (#1,2,4,5,7,8)
Language – p. 210 Think D
Reading – Read Ch. 1-2 in Because of Winn-Dixie; complete Comprehension Quiz
Writing – Answer Ch. 1-2 questions in the study guide using complete sentences.
Spelling – Ch. 1-2 Definition Match
Social Studies: Students should check in their Activities Tab for this week’s assignment. Oral and written instructions are included. A PowerPoint and a template are also included.
Wednesday:
Math – Test 11
Language – p. 210 Rem E, p. 211 Think A
Reading – Read Ch. 3-4; complete Comprehension Quiz
Writing – Answer Ch. 3-4 questions in the study guide using complete sentences.
Spelling – Ch. 3-4 Vocabulary activity
Bible: Students will watch a short video called, God’s Story: Prayer. Please find this assignment in the activity tab, along with instructions of how to respond.
