Hello GCS Families:
There is a lot going on! This week, elementary students will be going compete against their schoolmates at a Track and Field event at UPEI on Tuesday. Please ensure your child returns both permission forms as soon as possible. On Thursday, we have been invited to see the dress rehearsal for the Arts Coffeehouse. In Math, we will be learning about solving equations with unknown numbers and metric measures of liquid. And in Art, we will be creating modelling clay canvases in the style of Barbara Reid. We are still working on the Travel Brochure Project in Social Studies and due dates will soon be assigned.
Theme Days
Over the next couple of weeks, we will be having a few theme/dress-up days:
- Monday, May 17 – Sports Jersey Day
- Tuesday, May 25 – Twin Day
- Tuesday, June 1 – “Canada” Day (since we don’t get to celebrate this during the school year)
