Hello parents!
We had a great week in Grade 4! I am delighted with the students’ focus during the Canadian Achievement Tests, which took up a significant portion of their math and language classes. Students enjoyed learning about Terry Fox throughout the week during our lunchtime read-aloud and participating in the 40th Terry Fox Run on Friday. Some students were even led to donate money to cancer research, and their generosity warmed my heart.
This coming week, we have lots planned! In Social Studies, students are going to be finishing taking notes on the Cordillera Region of Canada via Seesaw and starting to learn about the Prairies/Interior Plains Region. In Art, we will be learning about Kandinsky and creating our own version of The Color Study. And in Digital Literacy, students will be starting our unit on internet safety.
Scrip Program
This year, the SCRIP program will look a bit different as there is no longer a dedicated person to run the SCRIP program, along with our COVID-19 protocols requiring the minimization of the foot traffic in the school.

Should you wish to purchase any SCRIP, we ask that you plan ahead and place an order through office@gcspei.ca
Once your order is received, it will be prepared and an email sent back to you to let you know it is ready for pick up. You can pay in the school office via debit, credit (2% fee), cash, cheque, or e-transfer.
