Students have been working away at their Science Fair projects with Mrs. MacNeill and the big day is almost here.
Please take note of the following updates and announcements:
I Am Leaving
Mrs. Wood and I have been given the opportunity to participate in a hockey camp ministry in the small community of Kimmirut, Nunavut. We will be leaving this Tuesday after school and returning Monday, March 11th. Mrs. Denny will be taking my place while I’m away. She is looking forward to meeting the Grade Five class. She is a talented and passionate young teacher and a good friend of mine.
Island Storm Visit:
We are excited to be welcoming the Island Storm back to GCS this Wednesday, Feb 27th. During their visit, students will host their annual game of “Are You Smarter Than A GCS Knight?” We are encouraging students to come dressed in their GCS apparel to display their school pride.
Skate Day:
The students will be travelling to the APM Centre in Cornwall again this Friday for an elementary skate from 1:30-2:30. Students are required to have skates, mittens, and a helmet in order to participate. Students who do not wish to participate in these skating days are asked to be picked up at the school at 12:15.
