Grade 5 families,
I am continually thankful for the opportunity to be teaching in school. We’re almost halfway through the year. In Math class, students have been reviewing complex division and have begun working with decimals. In Language Arts students have been learning about moral and foreshadowing. In Social Studies we’ve transitioned to studying Ancient Rome.
Genius Hour
Once a week, students are given the opportunity to research a topic of their choice. The grade fives have been working to create a 2-3 minute presentation on their chosen topic. Presentations will begin Monday and those presenting first should be aware. I’m eager to learn from the students as we develop our researching and presenting skills together.
