We are counting down the days until Christmas break, but first, we are hopeful you will join us for our annual Christmas musical at GCS.
Christmas Concert:
This year we are very pleased to be presenting the musical ‘Rockin’ Royal Christmas With The King’ on Thursday, December 12th, with a matinee performance at 1:30 pm and an evening performance at 6:30 pm. Students are asked to return to school for the evening performance by 6 PM to prepare for the stage. As family, you will want to grab your sit early too as we are expecting a very large audience. Please take note that the dress code for the concert is black and white with accents of gold.
If you cannot attend, the performance will be livestreamed on the GCS YouTube channel and uploaded within 24 hours.
Christmas Service Projects
Throughout the month of December, every GCS student will participate in special community outreach projects that will allow them to move their focus from themselves to the needs of others. This year our class will heading back over to have lunch and visit with the seniors at Chesapeake on Sandstone. The seniors enjoyed our students’ visit and are looking forward to having lunch and doing some activities. We will be visiting the seniors on Wednesday, December 18 from 10am to 1pm. Look for a permission slip coming home this week.
Book Report
We have finished reading Song of the Brook and have be working on our book reports in class. They will be finishing up rough copies and starting good copies in class. They will also be working on their speaking skills by sharing about their favorite part of the book with the class.
