The smell of fresh books and newly sharpened pencils is in the air! I, Mrs. Bouter, am thrilled to be teaching grade 4 this year at GCS, with our new single grade learning studio located in the beautifully designed academic wing for elementary students. I hope your children feel as eager and excited as I am to begin what is sure to be an epic year, filled with growth as leaders, thinkers, and innovators!
Please note that classes begin promptly at 9:00. However, students can and should arrive by 8:45 in order to get settled into their class.
Theme Verse
Our theme verse this year is Colossians 2:7 which focuses on our firm foundation of Christ and our growth in Him: “Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.”
Ribbon Cutting
You are all welcome to join us for a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 6:30 tomorrow evening. After a quick ceremony, you are invited to tour the school to see the amazing changes that have taken place, both in the new wing and in the rest of the building.
Who Am I?
For those of you new to the school, my name is Misty Bouter and I have been teaching grade 3 and 4 for the past five years at GCS. My passion is art, and I am blessed with the opportunity to teach the art classes from grade 3-6 this year, as well as kindergarten music. I was born on the Island and I live in Charlottetown with my husband of four years.
