Greetings! I hope everyone has had a safe and relaxing weekend amidst the winter weather. Please take note of events coming up in the GCS community.
Father Son Bowling Night
Call all GCS boys in Kindergarten through grade 6! We invite you and your father, grandfathers, and great-grandfathers to an evening of bowling at Murphy’s Bowling Alley on Friday, March 16th at 7:30 PM. The cost per bowler is $8.00. Please return your son’s permission slip and payment for each bowler to your child’s homeroom teacher before Thursday, March 15th. To help prepare, Murphy’s has asked for the names of each bowler attending.
Cheer Showcase
The Cheer Teams will perform at their GCS Cheer Showcase this coming Tuesday, March 13. This event will begin at 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm at the Immanuel Christian School, located at 68 Allen St, Charlottetown. Please have your cheerleader at ICS be 5:00 PM, dressed in their uniform, hair and makeup done, and with their indoor sneakers. We look forward to showing you what the cheerleaders have learned this season. Be sure to invite your family & friends!
Family Fun Run
Attention Knights! Are you ready to get fit and have some fun? The GCS Family Fun Run is coming up this May! Grace Christian School is going to have their annual Family Fun Run, which is a 5k running/walking event that encourages physical fitness in our school and brings the community together. This event will be held at Grace Christian School on Saturday, May 5th. There will be registration forms sent home with your children today. Early bird registration is due by March 21 for a discounted price. Please return the form and money to your students’ homeroom teachers. All the proceeds will go towards sports equipment for our P.E. program. We hope to see you all there at the GCS Family Fun Run!
A Knight To Remember Celebration: You’re Invited
As we see God’s hand at work each day at GCS, we are growing more and more thankful for the individuals He has called to be part of this growing ministry. We are delighted to be honoring three staff members from GCS on April 27th, 2018. We would like to extend an invitation for you to join us in celebrating the significant contributions of Anne Laird, Elsie Barrett, and Neil Thompson throughout their years of service at GCS thus far.
A stand-up reception, followed by desserts and a celebration ceremony, will begin at 6:30 PM. Tickets can be purchased for $30 each at the school office beginning March 12th , 2018 and must be purchased by April 16th, 2018.
We also encourage you consider purchasing a brick in honor of these individuals who have invested a great deal in the lives of many families. Hot Lunch
I would like to thank each of you for promptly picking up your child during the early dismissal on Friday. With that being said we were unable to do our hot dog hot lunch. This week we will be having hot dogs on Friday so for anyone who ordered last week you will not need to pay.
