Grace Christian School has established deep roots in the Island’s educational landscape over the past 40 years. In 1978, Grace Kindergarten began. Just two years later, Grace Christian School opened its doors to 32 students from Kindergarten through Grade 6 and the story of Grace Christian School began.
The first classes were taught in the church overflows, tests were hand-written, and the number of staff could be counted on one hand. The school infrastructure and class sizes continued to grow and within a short period of time, Grace Christian School graduates continued to impact the lives of others, working and serving in many career fields such as engineering, bio-science, medicine, education, entrepreneurship, business, trades, and ministry to name a few. Staff and students from over 20 different nations have come together to weave the fabric of community inside the hallways. While some alumni have returned to teach at GCS, others have celebrated their 25+ years of teaching service.
Today, through prayer, sacrifice, and the efforts of many dedicated individuals, GCS is home to approximately 200 students from Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12. The school is recognized globally for its innovative 21-century educational practices, and highly respected educators in their fields of passion and education. As faithful men and women have continued to believe in the ideals of educating children in a Christ-centered environment, our staff has grown. Our vision for the GCS of tomorrow has started to take shape with the completion of the first stage of our expansion plan.
Who can possibly envision the GCS of tomorrow? Only the One who knows the end from the beginning. God continues to bless the ministry of Grace Christian School as we strive to develop the leaders, thinkers, and innovators of tomorrow.
This thanksgiving season, we will celebrate the blessings God has showered on Grace Christian School over the past 40 years with The Knight’s Harvest: A Celebration of Thankfulness.
