Well, 4 days in and we’ve run into a small hiccup but we are thankful to health officials who take the needs and concerns of our children seriously. At this time, we will not be completely online but there are a number of items that can be completed over the next few days until we can learn in class together.
Math
Students who are comfortable with our online Mathletics program are strongly encouraged to sign-in and to practice some of their foundational math skills. There should be a number of activities and quests for students to complete. Sign in using your student account: https://www.mathletics.com/ca/. Logins are located in student agendas. If your child does not have the agenda home or remember login/password, please let me know right away so I can have those sent to you.
Language Arts
Students should begin to study for this week’s Spelling & Vocabulary test. Lists will be posted on the class Seesaw account and sent in a parent email. Your child’s access to Seesaw should also be in the front of the agenda. I will also send this in an email to be sure every student has access to Seesaw.
Students are also strongly encouraged to read for 15 – 20 minutes each day. Grade level audio books can also be downloaded for your child using Get Epic: https://www.getepic.com/
Bible
We encourage all students to take the time to continue learning their assigned Bible verse. In addition, if your child is looking for an interesting Bible story or devotional, please check out these links below
- Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. Isaiah 40:28 (NIV)
