It has been another great school year at GCS! We have been blessed with new opportunities. Some of the highlights from the school year include – breaking ground for the new expansion, multiple opportunities for local and global service, including the Jamaica Mission Trip, academic recognition in the areas of language, science, technology, engineering, and mathematics at the provincial, national, and international levels for staff and students. We have also experienced great success in our athletic and arts programs. This past year has also brought about opportunities to celebrate the significant contributions of three long-standing GCS staff members.

Summer vacation looms large in the minds of many, and we are beginning to anticipate the new school year in September. Those of us who may look ahead will soon realize that many changes lie before us. A new extension, new teachers, new classes, new students – new expectations. Humanly speaking, change is often feared and usually avoided if possible. We are creatures of habit and routine, adapting to new realities, new environments or new people is challenging – there is definitely a comfort in sameness. But there is also a joy in change.
The 2018-19 school year will hold many new and wonderful changes at GCS as we open the new academic wing. It is exciting to see God’s hand at work at GCS and to anticipate all that is in store for the students, staff, and families of GCS in the new school year. We hope that everyone enjoys summer vacation and we look forward to seeing everyone in September!
