Dear GCS Grade 6 Families,
Only a few days left until Grade 6 grad!
We finished our algebra unit in math this week, and students ended the week with a test.
This week in Social Studies students started their Island History Timeline assignment. This assignment is created digitally and will allow the students to choose twenty events from PEI’s history to put on their timeline.
Grade 6 Graduation:
We are excited to have the Grade 6 Graduation ceremony next week! Parents and families are invited to celebrate the graduation of our Grade 6 class with us on Wednesday, June 8th at 9 am.
Families who wish to take their children out for lunch after the graduation at 10 am are welcome to do so.
Students also have High-Performance Training on Wednesday, June 8th. Parents who wish to drop their students off directly at UPEI after taking their child to celebrate should let Mr. Olsen know so we can confirm who will use the bus at 12:25 pm.
Students who are not in High Performance should return to class at GCS at 12:55 pm.
Grad Attire:
Please take note of the dress code for the grad ceremony: clean, neat, modest, and appropriate attire is the overall expectation.
Ladies should come dressed in a knee-length dress (or skirt and top). Please no thin spaghetti straps showing.
Gentlemen should wear a collared shirt and dress pants. No jeans or athletic pants, please.
