Hello parents,
I am so thankful for each one of you who took the time to meet with me to discuss your child’s progress throughout this first quarter. I cannot wait to see what this next quarter of learning will bring! I am confident that I can expect great things from my students. As always, should you have any questions throughout this next quarter please do not hesitate to email me at mbouter@gcspei.ca.
This week we will be introducing factoring in Math, travelling to Australia and Germany for Christmas in Social Studies, and learning about how to cite sources in Digital Literacy.
Christmas Gift Baskets
This year GCS students will be collecting various items to create gift baskets for the residents of Prince Edward Home. This has been a trying year for the vulnerable in our province, and it is our goal to bless the residents this Christmas season. Grade 4 will be collecting bath and body items to contribute to the gift baskets. That includes items such as body wash, hand lotion, bath balms, deodorants, disposable razors. I encourage all parents to talk to their child to see which one of these items they would be able to contribute. The items must be brought to school by December 1st.

I look forward to being able to choose new books to our library for the students to enjoy!
A Note from Mrs. Biech – Class Novel
We are almost half-way through our novel learning about characters, setting, and identifying key parts in chapters to create summaries. Students will continue to read a chapter each night for homework and this week should take a couple of minutes to complete the notecards to be discussed in class.
