Week of Dec. 16, 2019 in Grade 1
It is our last week of school until Christmas break! We have an exciting week ahead with lots of theme days and fun filled activities as we prepare to celebrate the birth of Jesus. This week’s spelling list was sent home on Friday. We will be having a class party on Friday, Dec. 20 and would love for students to bring in some store-bought goodies to share with the class. I am so thankful for each of the lovely students in our Grade 1 class and would like to wish you and your families a wonderful Christmas together and God’s blessing in the New Year. See you on January 6, 2020!
Just a reminder that Friday, Dec. 20 is a half day and students need to be picked up at noon.
Please take note of the theme days for this week:
Monday: Festive Pajama Day- Live the excitement of Christmas morning by wearing your pajamas to school. Festive designs
are great but all pajamas are welcome. Remember: modest, clean, neat and appropriate is always the expectation.
Tuesday: Christmas Sweater Day- Wear your ugly (or beautiful!) Christmas sweater. Choose one that is ready-made or use your imagination to create your own unique design.
Wednesday; Christmas Colours Day- Celebrate the season by choosing Christmas colours for your school dress code outfit today. To
participate wear your red shirt, green sweater, white, silver or gold clothing and accessories.
Thursday: Christmas Hat Day- Wear a Santa hat, reindeer antlers, an elf hat or a Christmas-themed toque as we count down to Christmas.
Friday: Class Christmas Parties (free casual day)
Blessings,
Mrs. Ellie Bryenton
