Fall weather is upon us, so don’t forget to dress accordingly. There is always something happening at GCS, so here are just a few announcements to keep you informed about the weeks ahead:
Elementary Cross Country Event:
Students in grades 3-6 will be participating in an upcoming Cross Country Meet on Wednesday, October 10th. Additional information will be sent home with your child in the coming week in the form of a permission slip.
Science & Technology Week:
Grace Christian School has dedicated an entire week to celebrating a love for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Throughout the week of October 15th-19th, students in K-12 will participate in several activities to enrich their learning in these four disciplines. Please watch for a full schedule in the coming weeks.
A Teacher’s Request:
With the blessing of class sets of Chromebooks, the grade five students have been given account login information for a variety of online educational resources including Mathletics and Typing.com. Some, if not all, of these resources require students to watch instructional videos as they progress through the curriculum. As to prevent unnecessary distractions for other students, I would ask that students bring in a personal set of headphones or earphones with a standard 3.5mm audio connector on Monday.
Thanksgiving, No Classes:
Just a reminder that Monday, Oct. 8th is a Canadian holiday. We will not have classes. Classes will resume on Tuesday, Oct. 9th at 9:00 AM.
